Zona 78

We had a wonderful evening at Zona 78. The service was excellent. The food was wonderful. Salads, pizza, calamari, and pasta entrees were well-prepared and delicious. Very happy to find this restaurant in Tucson!

I&apos;ve been in twice... both times we had a salad and pizza. Their salads are more than enough for two if split. The BLT and the Berry were both excellent full of fresh ingredients with tasty accents and dressings. The pizza is also excellent. They are the only pizza place I have found in Tucson that offers whole wheat crust and the crust is delicious. I&apos;ve had the Mediterranean and the BBQ Chicken and I recommend both. Let me not forget to mention the excellent service.

Excellent pizzas!

The price I paid for a dinner of spaghetti and meatballs was $ 24.00, not counting tax. What I received was a small plate, and a small amount of spaghetti hiding under 3 meatballs. The noodles were not even close to the edges of the plate I would like to have a regular sized plate, with more spaghetti than meatballs. The meal was underwhelming. Definitely not worth the price paid. I think I remember even the soft drinks were more expensive than one would expect, too.

Overpriced, and small portioned.

Food was very good.  Menu was limited.  Seating was limited.  They were out of one of the few things on the menu: prime rib. Oddly, for an Italian restaurant there was nothing usually at an Italian restaurant like lasagna, ravioli, chicken Marsala, etc. The pizza looked good, must be primarily a pizza place.  I had the salmon with zucchini, (or squash?) which was delicious.

We love Zona 78, where you can get a great glass of wine and I can get a good selection of beers. The owner (Paul) is awesome and I love how he supports non-profits like Souther Arizona Against Slavery! The ribs were GREAT and we loved the shrimp Alfredo Dine in or out or sit in the fairly small bar area to watch the game!  VictorB
